Commercial Services
Promotes and intiates collaboration, education and professionalism of commercial members. Plans luncheons and events focused on commercial practitioners. Promotes the West Texas Commercial Information Exchange. Meets as needed.
Education
Identifies, coordinates and promotes education programs and courses offered by LAR. Assists in fundraising for the John Walton Education Foundation. Meets monthly as needed.
Finance
Reviews the monthly financial report as it relates to LAR’s budget and makes recommendations on LAR’s finances. Limited to REALTOR® members. Meets monthly.
Government Affairs/TREPAC
Stays informed of issues directly affecting REALTORS® and private property owners, conducts candidate interviews, participates in and promotes REALTOR® Day at the Texas Capitol in legislative years, organizes and conducts fundraising events for TREPAC. Meets monthly.
Multiple Listing Issues and Policies
Makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on the Multiple Listing Service Rules and Regulations, the system itself, and other programs connected to the MLS. Members are advocates for the benefits of the MLS and help serve as liaisons to their office. Meets monthly as needed.
Programs and Luncheons
Plans association luncheons and other special events. Meets monthly as needed.
Strategic Plan
Reviews LAR’s strategic plan for progress and makes recommendations and helps shape the future of the association. Meets 1-3 times per year.
United Way
Conducts the Association’s fund drive for the Lubbock Area United Way. Meets from September to November.
