This course explores the social dynamics of a First-Time Homebuyer. Course brings to life real world examples of who is the aspiring first-time homebuyer. Where do they live currently, where do they shop, where do they socialize? Who are they? What are their needs and how can you as a Realtor meet their expectations? Course dissects this market segment and provides necessary tools and action steps to build your business network. Will cover areas that are unique to first-time homebuyers and how to become a valuable resource for them and learn how to breakdown cultural barriers.

The Forms You Need to Know (Wed. 7 Oct, 2020 9:00 am - 12:00 pm)

This course reviews the most widely used TREC and TAR forms needed to conduct real estate transactions. Included are various sales contracts and a wide range of addendum. This course teaches the proper use and completion of these forms and provides a comprehensive view of the types of contracts available for use in real estate transactions. It will also cover how to handle updates and changes to contract forms, along with other related documents and addenda.

This purpose of this course is to familiarize the real estate license holder with the most current and commonly used forms in a residential real estate transaction. Will learn to understand and use the proper form(s) for different real estate transactions so that they effectively serve their client. The course intent is to provide insight on the importance of using correct form(s) to ensure a successful transaction for the agent and client.

Getting Started with RPR (Tue. 13 Oct, 2020 9:30 am - 10:30 am)

Come learn the basics of RPR for residential properties!

In this in person class we will answer questions like: What is RPR? How do I use RPR? How is it different than the MLS?

You will also learn about using RPR when you have a Buyer, and when you have a Seller.

While you won't need your laptop during class, you can also register for an RPR account at the end of class, so bring your laptop!

This course focuses specifically on the skills and expertise needed to be a successful Buyer’s Agent. Major aspects of buyer representation will be covered including prospecting, identifying properties, showing strategies, making offers, handling inspections and repairs, and successfully closing. This class provides the tools necessary to build a successful business focused on helping buyers navigate the real estate process.

Understanding Agency (Mon. 19 Oct, 2020 9:00 am - 11:00 am)

Many buyers and sellers do not understand how they are represented in a real estate transaction. This course covers the disclosure of agency roles to clients and the importance of effective communication with customers to help them understand the choices they have. Agents will gain perspective on their role when acting as a subagent and overall intermediary agency roles. They will learn the nature of the agent/client relationship including fiduciary responsibility and how to handle confidential information.

This course will provide the real estate license holder with insight regarding the guidelines for ethical and moral conduct on their part when involved in a real estate transaction. How they govern themselves and their responsibilities/obligations to the client. Gain understanding on mandatory disclosure, who they represent in a transaction and the difference in duties to customer versus clients.
