Committees

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors is the governing body of the association.  The board is comprised of twelve (12) REALTOR members elected for two (2) year terms, a Chairman of the Board that presides over board meetings. A President, President Elect, and Secretary/Treasurer elected for one (1) year terms. Those that serve on the Board of Directors of the Texas and National Association of REALTORS also serve as Ex-Officio members of the board.  

The association elects six (6) new directors annually.  The election is held on the third (3rd) Thursday in September. 

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee is composed of the current year's Officers of the association: President, President Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, Chairman of the Board and a Member-at-Large elected from the among the Board of Directors. The President is the Chair of the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee gives their recommendation on all matters that go before the Directors. Meets monthly or more if needed.

COMMERCIAL SERVICES COMMITTEE

Recommends, promotes and initiates services of those members interested in commercial real estate. Monitors local government activities with concerns to commercial property. Meets 3 to 4 times a year. 

EDUCATION TASK FORCE

Seeks to elevate the competancy and professionalism of members. Strives to bring relevant and timely programs to members. Meets 5 to 6 times a year.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

Helps maintain the fiscal responsibility of the association. Monitors the income and expenses of the association by reviewing the monthly financial statements. Reviews and recommends the annual budget of the association. Reviews and makes recommendations to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors on non-budgeted items with information on the availability of funds. Meets monthly or more if needed.

GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS/TREPAC COMMITTEE

Stays informed of issues directly affecting REALTORS and private property owners. Conducts candidate interviews, participates in and promotes REALTOR Hill visits in legislative years, and organizes and conducts investing programs for the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee (TREPAC).

INSTALLATION AND AWARDS BANQUET TASK FORCE

Plans the association's annual installation and awards banquet where the incoming officers and directors are installed and the REALTOR of the Year and Pinnacle Awards are presented. Meets 4 to 6 times a year.

NEXTGEN REALTORS - YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK

For the young in age, young in the business or just young at heart! Focuses on networking, community service, education, and encouraging association involvement. Meets 6 to 8 times a year.

PROGRAMS AND LUNCHEONS COMMITTEE

Plans association membership luncheons, special events and speakers. Cooperates with the Education Task Force and NextGEN REALTORS Young Professionals Network. Meets 6 to 8 times a year.

PROPERTY INVESTORS AND MANAGERS COMMITTEE

Recommends, promotes and initiates programs and education for property managers and investors. Meets 3 to 5 times a year.

STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE

Reviews the association's strategic plan for progress and makes recommendations on the association's future programs and services. Strives to maintain the association as relevant and progressive.

UNTIED WAY COMMITTEE

Administers the fund drive for the United Way within the association for the representation of REALTORS in the United Way's Professional Division. Meets 4 to 6 times a year from May to September.

WALK WITH PRIDE TASK FORCE

Plans and implements the association's campaign to provide new athletic shoes to children in need for the school year. Meets 1 to 3 times in August.

Commercial Services—Recommend, promote and initiate services specifically for commercial practitioners. Meets as needed.
Finance—Reviews the monthly financial statements and monitors the association’s budget. Limited to REALTOR® members. Meets 12 times a year. Limited to REALTOR® Members.
Multiple Listing Issues & Policies—Makes recommendations on the Multiple Listing Service system, educates the membership on the system, and makes recommendations concerning the Rules and Regulations of the Multiple Listing Service. Meets 10 to 12 times a year. Limited to REALTOR® MLS Participants/Subscribers.
Governmental Affairs/TREPAC —Stays informed of issues directly affecting REALTORS® and private property owners, conducts candidate interviews, participates in and promotes REALTOR® Hill Visits in legislative years, and organizes and conducts investing for the Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee (TREPAC). Meets 10 to 12 times a year.
Programs & Luncheons—Plans associations luncheons and special events. Meets 10 to 12 times a year.

TASK FORCES

Installation and Awards Banquet——Plans the association’s annual installation and awards banquet. Meets 4 to 6 times a year.
Education—Identifies, coordinates and promotes education programs and courses offered by the association. Meets 8 to 10 times a year.
NextGEN REALTORS® Young Professionals Network——For the young in age, young at heart and young in the business! Focuses on networking, community service, and education. Meets 8 to 10 times a year
Walk With Pride—Plans and implements the association’s campaign to provide new athletic shoes to children in need for the school year. Meets 5 to 6 times in the fall.
